Privacy policy

Effective date: 3 September 2026

G1 Prep Ontario is a free Ontario G1 practice app available on Android (ca.g1prep.ontario) and iOS. It is a study aid. It is not affiliated with the Ministry of Transportation or DriveTest.

Data we collect

There is no account, no sign-in, and no cloud sync of your practice progress. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information on our own servers.

The app shows banner ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and Google may collect device and advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA), IP address, and coarse app or device activity needed to serve and measure ads. That data is handled under Google's advertising policies, not by us as a separate backend.

On iOS, the app follows Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. If your iOS version requires it, you will be asked for permission before any advertising identifier is accessed. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy → Tracking.

We do not run our own analytics or crash reporting.

Data on your device

Practice progress stays on your phone:

last and best scores for each test
in-progress tests so you can resume
missed question IDs for Review mistakes
per-question seen and missed counts used to order review

This progress data is stored locally on the device and is not sent to us. Ad requests go to Google's ad network over the internet.

Reset and uninstall

Use About → Reset progress in the app to delete local scores and missed questions. Uninstalling the app also removes this data. Resetting progress does not control AdMob or advertising identifiers on the device; use your device's ad or privacy settings for that.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are served by Google AdMob subject to Google's policies.
